Working both independently and as part of a team, the role contributes to timely job completion, operational efficiency, and consistent high-quality print outcomes.&nbsp;DUTIES &amp; RESPONSIBILITIES&nbsp;•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Independently set up, calibrate, and operate a range of advanced printing presses (offset, digital, flexographic, and gravure), ensuring all production activities meet precise job specifications, quality benchmarks, and strict deadlines.•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Accurately prepare and configure printing equipment by installing plates, cylinders, blankets, and rollers, ensuring exact alignment and registration to achieve high-quality output with minimal wastage.•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Exercise full control over printing operations by continuously monitoring and adjusting critical variables such as ink density, pressure, speed, and temperature to maintain optimal performance and consistency.•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Demonstrate strong expertise in colour management by mixing and matching inks to exact specifications, ensuring colour accuracy and uniformity throughout production runs.•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Proactively inspect printed materials at various stages of production to identify defects, inconsistencies, or deviations from approved proofs, and implement immediate corrective actions to maintain quality standards.•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Efficiently manage substrates and raw materials, ensuring accurate loading, alignment, and uninterrupted supply to maximise productivity and minimise operational downtime.•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Operate and coordinate finishing processes, including cutting, folding, and binding, ensuring final products meet client specifications and presentation standards.•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Interpret and execute job instructions, technical specifications, and digital files with a high level of accuracy, ensuring seamless translation from design to final printed output.•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Maintain detailed and accurate production records, including machine settings, material usage, and quality checks, supporting traceability and continuous improvement initiatives.•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Perform regular preventative maintenance and minor repairs on machinery to ensure consistent performance, reduce breakdown risks, and extend equipment lifespan.•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Take ownership of troubleshooting and resolving technical and operational issues during production, ensuring minimal disruption to workflow and delivery timelines.•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Manage digital print workflows, including file preparation, imposition, and output processes, ensuring compatibility with printing systems and production efficiency.•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Adhere strictly to workplace health and safety (WHS) regulations and environmental standards, maintaining a safe, compliant, and efficient working environment.•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Collaborate effectively with production teams and supervisors to ensure timely job completion, high-quality outcomes, and continuous operational improvement.&nbsp;QUALIFICATIONS &amp; REQUIREMENTS&nbsp;•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;AQF Certificate III, including at least two years of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV (ANZSCO Skill Level 3).&nbsp;•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;At least 1 year of relevant work experience as a Printing Machinist or in a similar role.•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Strong knowledge of printing processes, including offset, digital, flexographic, or gravure printing.&nbsp;•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Ability to set up, operate, and troubleshoot printing machinery.&nbsp;•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Good understanding of colour matching, ink mixing, and print quality control.&nbsp;WORKING HOURS: - Full-time position, 38 hours per week.&nbsp;BENEFITS&nbsp;•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;A supportive and friendly team environment&nbsp;•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Stable, long-term employment opportunity&nbsp;•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Opportunities for training and skill development•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Safe and well-maintained working environment
