About the Role&nbsp;Remedial Design EngineerFull time$85,000 to $100,000 (negotiable) per annum + superannuation&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Based at JN’s Sutherland Office, &nbsp;the Remedial Design Engineer will be given the opportunity to be involved in all aspects of concept and detailed remedial design and documentation on a diverse range of projects, whilst taking responsibility as part of the remedial team for the delivery of your projects to the client.Duties and responsibilities:<ul style="list-style-type:disc;"><li style="text-align:justify;">Site audits, testing, building investigations and reporting services</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Problem solving and development of remedial solutions</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Develop draft scopes of works, specifications and remediation strategies</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Produce clear, concise reports and client documentation</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Coordinate project tender administration and assessment</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Assist with project schedules, overseeing contractors, QA and compliance</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Supervise contractors on key hold points during remedial works</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Under limited supervision produce, review and check designs in accordance with Australian Standards and Building Codes</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Liaise with internal and external stakeholders as necessary</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary environment</li></ul>Essential<ul style="list-style-type:disc;"><li style="text-align:justify;">Engineering degree in civil or structural engineering</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Minimum 2-3 years post-graduate remedial engineering consultancy experience</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Self-motivated, technically competent individual able to work independently and within a team</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Sound understanding of Australian Standards and The National Construction Code</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Able to work autonomously, managing workload and priorities</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Excellent communication and report writing skills</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Experience in preparing remedial reports, specifications and tender documentation</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Experience in superintendent role and project management of remedial works</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and Bluebeam&nbsp;</li></ul>&nbsp;Desirable<ul style="list-style-type:disc;"><li style="text-align:justify;">Residential and commercial building projects</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Experience in AutoCAD/Revit</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Project management experience including on-site visits and assessment</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Familiarity with strata industry and working with contractors</li><li style="text-align:justify;">OH&amp;S Induction Training for Construction Work (White Card)</li></ul>
