As we continue to expand our footprint and enhance our service offerings, we are looking for a strategic and results-oriented CFO (Finance Manager - 132211) to play a key role in our success.</p><br><h3>Benefits</h3><ul><li>Competitive executive-level salary package plus superannuation.</li><li>Permanent, full-time position with long-term career stability.</li><li>Opportunity to lead the financial strategy of a growing logistics business.</li><li>Senior decision-making role with direct access to the director and management team.</li><li>Exposure to domestic and international freight, shipping and logistics operations.</li><li>Opportunity to improve financial systems, controls and commercial performance.</li><li>Supportive and professional working environment.</li><li>Scope to contribute to future business growth and expansion.</li></ul><br><h3>Task & responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Develop and oversee the company’s financial strategies, budgets, forecasts and policies.</li><li>Prepare financial reports, cash-flow forecasts and commercial analysis for senior management.</li><li>Advise management on profitability, funding, cost control and overall financial performance.</li><li>Oversee financial statements, taxation, BAS, GST, payroll, superannuation, audit and statutory reporting.</li><li>Manage cash flow, working capital, customer credit, supplier payments and foreign-currency exposure.</li><li>Monitor freight margins, operating costs and financial risks across the logistics business.</li><li>Maintain effective internal controls, approval processes and risk-management systems.</li><li>Oversee payroll, accounts payable and receivable, banking, reconciliations, debt recovery and month-end reporting.</li><li>Assess investments, financing arrangements, business expansion and other major commercial decisions.</li><li>Manage finance personnel and coordinate with accountants, auditors, banks, insurers and professional advisers.</li><li>Improve accounting systems, reporting processes, financial efficiency and business profitability.</li></ul><br><h3>Qualification & experience</h3><ul><li>A bachelor’s degree or higher qualification in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a closely related field.</li><li>Substantial experience in a senior financial management position (at least 5 years).</li><li>Demonstrated experience managing budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, cash flow, internal controls and financial risk.</li><li>Strong knowledge of Australian accounting, taxation and statutory reporting obligations.</li><li>Experience in freight forwarding, shipping, logistics, transport or another commercially complex industry is highly desirable.</li><li>Experience in managing foreign-currency transactions, working capital, and commercial debtor exposure would be advantageous.</li><li>Strong analytical, leadership and commercial decision-making skills are essential.</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills.</li><li>The ability to communicate financial information clearly to directors, managers and other stakeholders.</li><li>CPA, CA or equivalent professional membership is desirable but not mandatory.</li></ul>
