We are on the hunt for a Chef to join OUR fast paced kitchen located in Bathurst. <h3>Benefits</h3>We understand that everyone needs a healthy work/life balance and will strive to ensure that this balance is met.HUGE&nbsp;opportunities are available for those looking to advance in the future!Enjoy a great work culture, surrounded by a pragmatic, experienced, and down-to-earth team.A generous salary to reflect your experience for full-time positions, or get paid ABOVE award rates for casual positions!!&nbsp; <h3>Task & responsibilities</h3>Chef job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Coordinate, direct and control as well as produce quality food to the standards.&nbsp;Operate within the guidelines set by the state for food handling.&nbsp;Discuss food preparation issues with the teamEnsure consistency and highest quality in the taste, presentation and appropriate food temperature for food served in all kitchens.Check stores and refrigerators and be responsible for the proper storing and recycling of leftovers.Food cost in line with budgetAssist in the creation of new menu items.&nbsp;Develop standard recipes and costing.Order kitchen supplies as required.Keep a close control of food wastage and spoilage, maintain a close eye on portion size and assist with food cost control.Food supplied is of quality standard.Ensure compliance with HACCP guidelines set by Council and venue standards.Maintain cleaning schedules.Ensure the establishment meets health and safety compliance regulations.Fill out report book daily to record cover numbers, complaints, or any other relevant information.Training of Junior staff.&nbsp;&nbsp; <h3>Qualification & experience</h3>The successful candidate will be able to display:Minimum 3 years of experience working in a similar environmentPositive attitude, strong communication skills, and motivated work ethicAbility to understand and comply with internal food policies and procedures and consistently meet expected food quality standardsUnderstanding of best practice in food and handling requirementsNecessary certificates and qualificationsCert IV in Commercial Cookery or higher is mandatory.­­
