Beauty Therapist

Duties and responsibilities:<ul><li>Plan, coordinate and interpret laboratory analyses to assess the composition, stability and functional properties of raw materials and finished food and dietary supplement products, supporting formulation and product development decisions.</li><li>Evaluate experimental and research findings to refine product formulations, processing techniques and development methodologies, ensuring consistency, reliability and suitability under different production and usage conditions.</li><li>Translate scientific research and experimental outcomes into practical product applications, contributing to the development, optimisation and commercialisation of new food and supplement products.</li><li>Conduct and oversee product evaluation trials, including sensory and technical assessments of flavour, texture, appearance, stability and nutritional profile, to ensure compliance with internal quality standards and product specifications.</li><li>Design, implement and continuously improve quality assurance protocols and food safety systems across manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and product integrity.</li><li>Provide technical guidance on processing methods, preservation techniques, packaging solutions, storage conditions and distribution practices to maintain product quality, safety and shelf life throughout the supply chain.</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>Degree in Food Science, Nutritional Science, Chemistry, or a related scientific discipline&nbsp;</li><li>Postgraduate qualification or equivalent industry experience in product development, food technology, or dietary supplements is advantageous.</li><li>Minimum 2+ years of experience in a product development, food science, or technical role within the food, nutraceutical, or dietary supplement industry.</li><li>Demonstrated experience managing end-to-end product development from brief to commercial launch.</li><li>Experience working with contract manufacturers, ingredient suppliers, and testing laboratories.</li><li>Knowledge of Australian food standards (FSANZ) and TGA regulatory requirements for dietary supplements.</li></ul>Skills:<ul><li>Strong scientific knowledge across food chemistry, formulation, and ingredient functionality.</li><li>Commercial mindset – ability to balance technical excellence with business viability and market relevance.</li><li>Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under deadline pressure.</li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving capability, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.</li><li>Excellent communication and influencing skills – able to translate complex technical information for non-technical stakeholders.</li><li>High attention to detail with a commitment to quality and compliance.</li><li>Collaborative and proactive working style with the ability to engage and influence cross-functional teams.</li><li>Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and commercially driven business environment.</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite; experience with project management tools and regulatory databases advantageous.</li></ul><hr>
