The role involves constructing, installing and dismantling formwork systems, interpreting engineering drawings, coordinating daily work activities and ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently and in accordance with project specifications, quality standards and Work Health and Safety requirements.Key Duties and Responsibilities•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and construction plans for formwork and reinforced concrete structures.&nbsp;•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Measure, cut, assemble, erect and dismantle timber, plywood and engineered formwork for footings, slabs, columns, walls, beams and other concrete structures.&nbsp;•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Construct, install and maintain formwork systems in accordance with project specifications, Australian Standards and quality requirements.&nbsp;•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Inspect completed formwork to ensure correct dimensions, alignment, bracing and structural integrity prior to concrete placement.&nbsp;•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Carry out repairs, modifications and adjustments to formwork and temporary structures as required throughout the construction process.&nbsp;•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Operate and maintain hand tools, power tools and construction equipment safely and efficiently.&nbsp;•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Supervise and provide day-to-day guidance to a small team of carpenters and labourers, allocating tasks and monitoring work progress to ensure quality workmanship and timely project delivery.&nbsp;•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Coordinate daily formwork activities with engineers, site supervisors, steel fixers, concreters and other trades to support efficient project outcomes.&nbsp;•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Monitor the quality of completed carpentry works and rectify defects where required to ensure compliance with project specifications.&nbsp;•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Assist with planning material requirements and ensure the safe handling, storage and use of construction materials on site.&nbsp;•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Maintain a clean, safe and organised work area by identifying and reporting hazards and ensuring compliance with Work Health and Safety (WHS) legislation, Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) and company policies.&nbsp;•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Complete works within project timeframes while maintaining high standards of workmanship, safety and quality.Skills, Experience and Qualifications•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Certificate III in Carpentry (or equivalent overseas qualification), or a higher relevant qualification.&nbsp;•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Demonstrated experience as a Formwork Carpenter.&nbsp;•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Proven experience constructing, installing and dismantling formwork systems for reinforced concrete structures.&nbsp;•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Experience supervising or leading small site crews and coordinating daily construction activities.&nbsp;•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Sound ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, construction plans and technical specifications.&nbsp;•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Strong knowledge of formwork systems, construction methods, Australian Standards and quality requirements.&nbsp;•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Proficiency in the safe operation of hand tools, power tools and construction equipment.&nbsp;•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Sound understanding of Work Health and Safety (WHS) legislation, Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) and safe work practices.&nbsp;•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Strong communication, leadership, teamwork and problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced construction environment.&nbsp;•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Ability to work across multiple project locations, including FIFO/DIDO assignments, as required.&nbsp;•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Current Construction Induction (White Card) and a valid driver's licence.•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Additional industry licences or tickets (e.g. Working at Heights, Elevated Work Platform, Dogging, Rigging or First Aid) are advantageous.&nbsp;
