Retail Manager

The successful applicant will be responsible for installing, maintaining, testing and repairing telecommunications infrastructure across a variety of network environments. This role involves both metropolitan and regional work, so applicants must be willing to travel throughout Western Australia when required.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Install, maintain and repair telecommunications networks and associated infrastructure.</li><li>Install underground and above-ground telecommunications conduits, pits and cabling systems.</li><li>Perform fibre optic cable hauling, jointing, testing and fault-finding activities.</li><li>Install customer service connections and telecommunications equipment.</li><li>Read and interpret telecommunications plans, specifications and network drawings.</li><li>Diagnose and rectify network faults using appropriate testing equipment.</li><li>Conduct preventative maintenance and network inspections.</li><li>Operate hand tools, power tools and specialised telecommunications equipment safely.</li><li>Complete job documentation, quality assurance records and compliance reports.</li><li>Ensure all work is completed in accordance with Australian Standards, client specifications and workplace health and safety requirements.</li><li>Work collaboratively with supervisors, clients and other technicians to deliver projects on schedule.</li></ul>Essential Requirements<ul><li>Minimum one (1) year of relevant telecommunications industry experience.</li><li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team.</li><li>Strong problem-solving and fault-finding skills.</li><li>Good communication and organisational skills.</li><li>Commitment to workplace health and safety.</li><li>Current Australian Manual Driver's Licence.</li><li>Willingness to travel throughout metropolitan Perth and regional Western Australia, including extended periods away when required.</li><li>First Aid/CPR Certificate or willingness to obtain.</li><li>Construction Industry White Card.</li><li>Gas Atmosphere Test Certification or willingness to obtain.</li><li>Pipe Fitting and Hauling Accreditation.</li></ul>Desirable<ul><li>Experience working with fibre optic and copper telecommunications networks.</li><li>Experience with underground conduit installation and telecommunications infrastructure.</li><li>Elevated Work Platform (EWP), Working at Heights and Confined Space certifications (or willingness to obtain).</li></ul>
