Whether dining in for a relaxed meal or ordering takeaway, our commitment to quality, flavour, and hospitality ensures every visit is memorable, with options available for vegetarian, vegan, gluten‑free, and dairy‑free diets so everyone can savour the taste of Vietnam. <h3>Benefits</h3><ul><li>Paid sick leave</li></ul> <h3>Task & responsibilities</h3>As a Cook, your tasks include:• inspecting and examining food ingredients at Nem Viet Epsom to ensure consistent quality;• monitoring and regulating the temperatures of ovens, grills, and other cooking equipment;• preparing, cooking, and seasoning authentic Vietnamese dishes with care and precision;• portioning meals, arranging food attractively on plates, and adding sauces, gravies, and garnishes;• storing food safely in temperature‑controlled facilities to maintain freshness and compliance;• preparing dishes to meet vegetarian, vegan, gluten‑free, and other special dietary requirements;• planning menus and estimating food supply needs to meet customer demand; and• training and guiding kitchen staff and apprentices to uphold Nem Viet Epsom’s standards of excellence. <h3>Qualification & experience</h3>Requirements:• Possesses the relevant qualifications.• Demonstrating proven experience in preparing and cooking Vietnamese or Asian cuisine within busy restaurant environments.• Showing strong ability to interpret menus, assess food preparation requirements, and implement effective cooking methods to achieve high‑quality outcomes.• Communicating effectively with team members, liaising with supervisors, and maintaining clear records of food preparation and kitchen operations.• Applying knowledge of workplace health and safety standards, food handling compliance requirements, and safe use of kitchen tools, equipment, and materials.
