The role assists in coordinating site activities, monitoring project progress, managing project documentation, and ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.The Building Associate serves as a key point of coordination between project stakeholders, including subcontractors, consultants, suppliers, and site personnel, contributing to the efficient and timely completion of projects.&nbsp;Key ResponsibilitiesSite Operations Support<ul style="list-style-type:disc;"><li>Assist the Site Manager and Project Manager in coordinating and monitoring daily construction activities.</li><li>Support the delivery of construction works in accordance with project schedules, specifications, and quality standards.</li><li>Conduct and assist with site inspections, quality assurance processes, and compliance reviews.</li><li>Coordinate and communicate with subcontractors, trades, and suppliers to facilitate efficient site operations.</li><li>Maintain site organisation, housekeeping standards, and compliance with workplace health and safety requirements.</li></ul>On-Site Project Coordination<ul style="list-style-type:disc;"><li>Support the Site Manager and Project Manager with project planning, scheduling, and reporting activities.</li><li>Assist in tracking project milestones, interpreting contract specifications, monitoring construction cost variation, verifying on-site material quantities against budgets, allocating resources to ensure overall project performance.</li><li>Prepare and maintain project documentation, including daily site reports, meeting minutes, progress reports, and project records.</li><li>Coordinate the timely delivery of materials, equipment, and services to support uninterrupted project delivery.</li><li>Assist with procurement processes, supplier engagement, and contract administration activities.</li></ul>On-Site Health, Safety and Compliance<ul style="list-style-type:disc;"><li>Promote and maintain a safe working environment on site.</li><li>Assist with site inductions, toolbox meetings, and safety inspections.</li><li>Monitor compliance with workplace health and safety legislation, regulations, and company policies.</li><li>Report hazards, incidents, and non-conformances to management and assist in implementing corrective actions.</li><li>Ensure all site activities comply with relevant building codes, permits, approvals, and company procedures.</li></ul>Quality Assurance<ul style="list-style-type:disc;"><li>Assist in implementing project quality assurance procedures.</li><li>Conduct routine inspections of workmanship and materials on site.</li><li>Identify defects and coordinate corrective actions with subcontractors and suppliers.</li><li>Maintain accurate records of inspections, defects, rectification works, and quality outcomes.</li><li>Support the delivery of projects that meet client expectations and regulatory requirements.</li></ul>Stakeholder Communication<ul style="list-style-type:disc;"><li>Liaise with subcontractors, consultants, suppliers, clients, and regulatory authorities as directed.</li><li>Support effective communication between office and site teams.</li><li>Report site productivity and data to stakeholders, ensuring technical progress is communicated clearly to local management and HQ in Malaysia.</li><li>Attend project meetings and provide technical reporting and operational support where required.</li><li>Assist in resolving site-related issues promptly and professionally.</li><li>Foster positive working relationships with all project stakeholders.</li></ul>Post-Construction Handover and Defect Management Support<ul style="list-style-type:disc;"><li>Assist with the coordinating post-construction defect rectifications and handover maintenance across completed buildings during the defects liability period.</li><li>Conduct building inspections and identify maintenance requirements, defects, or compliance issues.</li><li>Coordinate contractors and service providers to undertake maintenance and remedial works.</li><li>Monitor maintenance schedules and ensure works are completed within agreed timeframes and budgets.</li><li>Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance activities, warranties, asset registers, and compliance documentation.</li></ul>Building Compliance and Regulatory Support<ul style="list-style-type:disc;"><li>Interpret and apply building plans, specifications, building codes, Australian Standards, and relevant legislation.</li><li>Assist in ensuring all construction and maintenance activities comply with applicable regulations and industry requirements.</li><li>Support compliance audits, inspections, and certification processes.</li><li>Monitor and report on building compliance matters and recommend corrective actions where necessary.</li><li>Assist with obtaining and maintaining occupancy permits, certifications, and statutory compliance records.</li></ul>&nbsp;Skills and Qualifications<ul style="list-style-type:disc;"><li>Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a Building Associate or related role</li><li>Strong experience in managing live-site construction</li><li>Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple tasks</li><li>High attention to detail with strong problem-solving abilities</li><li>Excellent organisational and time management skills</li><li>Proactive mindset aimed at improving site efficiency</li><li>Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple
