As a Bricklayer with Descon, you will be responsible for executing high-standard bricklaying work across our various residential sites <h3>Benefits</h3>Lucrative pay, opportunities for growth and further training and skills development <h3>Task & responsibilities</h3>Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Bricklayer with Descon, you will be responsible for executing high-standard bricklaying work across our various residential sites. Your day-to-day tasks will include:&nbsp;<ul><li>Setting out brickwork in accordance with plans, drawings, and specifications</li><li>Laying bricks for residential &nbsp;projects</li><li>Mixing and preparing mortar to correct ratios and specifications</li><li>Constructing walls, piers, footings, and structural brickwork</li><li>Installing cavity walls, damp-proof courses (DPC), and wall ties</li><li>Cutting, shaping, and trimming bricks using hand and power tools</li><li>Ensuring brickwork is level, plumb, and aligned using spirit levels and string lines</li><li>Reading and interpreting construction plans and job specifications</li><li>Repairing, restoring, and replacing damaged brickwork</li><li>Cleaning excess mortar and finishing brickwork to required standards</li><li>Coordinating with site supervisors, builders, and other trades</li><li>Loading, unloading, and handling bricks and materials safely</li><li>Maintaining tools, equipment, and a clean, safe worksite</li><li>Complying with WHS regulations and site safety requirements</li></ul> <h3>Qualification & experience</h3>A successful candidate needs to meet the following requirements:&nbsp;<ul><li>At least AQF Certificate III in Bricklaying (or equivalent).</li><li>At least two years of full-time (or part-time equivalent) Work Experience in a similar position.</li><li>South Australian Bricklaying Contractor Licence (held or eligible to hold).</li><li>Full/Unrestricted Class C South Australian Driver Licence (or interstate equivalent).</li></ul>
